What Is New

So I've not updated in awhile. One blog I read suggested that bloggers always feel like they have to have a reason (Excuse) as to why they were not updating like usual. Me I just didn't have much to talk about. So here is what I was doing, and have planned to do soon.

1) I've been playing "The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena" Talk about a mouth full. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about go here. This game was fun, but also frustrating. Admittedly I was playing it on Hard, so maybe I was just asking for trouble. The good parts of the game are the climbing and exploring, as well as the stealth action. Hiding in shadows and taking out enemies one by one feels really good with Richard B. Riddick. Conversely the shooting isn't so hot. Not bad just not good, mainly because if an enemy sees you, you are dead before you can kill them. Again I'm a glutton for punishment so your mileage may vary. About half way though the game it takes a turn into more shooter, less stalking and the game just isn't as fun anymore... plus you get these alpha drones which to kill you have to stick with remote mines... they have rocket launchers and chain guns, and btw in some sick twist of fate will often clip though a wall and shoot there rocket though solid objects. :( These Alpha drones made me a sad sad boy. Over all not a bad game, but no Escape from Butchers Bay.

2) I visited a Costco late last week and picked up a copy of Trauma Center: New Blood for 15 dollars. It's very fun, but I need to get used to the tool wheel so I can move more quickly. Once I get that down I'll be much better.

3) Also while at Costco I picked up a Wireless N+ Router on the cheap... it's fun. I have guest access now like a hotel would have. Perhaps it's a sign that I am a nerd that I enjoy setting up routers so much.

4) Over the 4th of July I went to North Bend State Park to a family reunion. The reunion was more of a family get together then a reunion as it was mostly people who knew each other who attended. It was still fun seeing the distant relatives, and learning about family flaws. I did learn that I'm a 5th generation college graduate though which I think is actually impressive. I also got bored and downloaded both Mario VS. DK, and Art Style Boxlife both really fun puzzle-esk games.

5) Tomorrow I'm going to DC, with my first cuz and her friend to see the Capital and maybe Fords Theater along with other other things. This will be my 3 or 4th trip into DC this year, I think.

6) This weekend I'm going to a friend of mines lake house to visit my GF for the first time in a month and to relax and enjoy being away from my family for once. I'm also going to beat her at Magic the Gathering and become the supreme champ of all her and my friends.
